Steam Sales Statistics runs on your computer and stores its data locally. Sales and refund data for your own games requires a Steamworks Web API key with access to financial data, because private Steamworks sales data is not public.
The tool is intended to use official Steam APIs where possible and only read the data needed to monitor your games.

License
One-time purchase — The license allows one Steamworks partner organization to use Steam Sales Statistics for its own games.
The software may be installed on multiple computers used by people within the same company, studio, or Steamworks partner organization.
The license may only be used to monitor games connected to that Steamworks partner account. A separate license is required for each additional Steamworks partner organization, publisher account, client, or unrelated company.
You may not resell, share, sublicense, rent, or provide access to the software as a service to third parties.
The license includes all updates for version 1.x. Future major versions may require a paid upgrade.

Is Steam Sales Statistics affiliated with Valve?
No. Steam Sales Statistics is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Valve or Steam.
Why does it need a Financial Web API key?
Sales and refund data for your own Steam games is private partner data. The app needs a Steamworks Web API key with financial access to read that data for monitoring.
Does the app run in the cloud?
No. It is a Windows desktop application that runs locally on your machine.
Can I use it for multiple PCs in my studio?
Yes, as long as the use is within the same company, studio, or Steamworks partner organization covered by the license.
Can I monitor games I do not own?
You can add other Steam games to the watchlist for public signals such as reviews and community/forum activity. Private sales and refund data is only available for your own Steamworks games.
